MENTAL HEALT & COUNSELING

Mental health includes your emotional, physiological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It can also determine how we handle stress or interact with others. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence into adulthood. Over the course of your life, if you experience mental health problems, your thinking, mood, and behavior could be affected.

Early warning signs your mental health is affecting you

  • Eating or sleeping too much or too little
  • Pulling away from people and usual activities
  • Having low or no energy
  • Feeling numb or like nothing matters
  • Having unexplained aches and pains
  • Feeling helpless or hopeless
  • Smoking, drinking, or using drugs more than usual
  • Feeling unusually confused, forgetful, on edge, angry, upset, worried, or scared
  • Yelling or fighting with family and friends
  • Experiencing severe mood swings that cause problems in relationships
  • Having persistent thoughts and memories you can’t get out of your head
  • Hearing voices or believing things that are not true
  • Thinking of harming yourself or others
  • Inability to perform daily tasks like taking care of your kids or getting to work or school

MENTAL HEALTH MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

Sometimes as individuals, we need to take medication, and that’s okay! Here at MBH, our providers are here to help you and support you on this journey. We understand life gets hard but taking the first step to getting help is the best and most challenging step you can do for yourself. So whether you are looking for somewhere to start or want a continuation of care, our providers are here to listen.

Initial mental health office visits range from $175 to $230. Some of our providers are contracted with insurance. Please check out our Providers Tab for more information or to see if they are in-network with you!

MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING

Counseling can be a great way to start off if you are unsure about taking medication or if you simply are just needing to talk with someone. Professional counselors help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems that cause emotional turmoil; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.
